Cabasse, a French company founded in 1950 by Georges Cabasse, heir to five generations of stringed instrument craftsmen, has always been driven by research and the desire to constantly innovate. It has one obsession: the authentic reproduction of music, without alteration, colouration or distortion, to bring you the true emotion of music in your home.
Today, the Cabasse range presents one of the most complete portfolios of loudspeaker products for the hi-fi, home cinema and custom installation markets, from discrete in-ceiling speakers through to the range topping and class leading La Sphére audiophile speakers
In October 2014, Cabasse was bought by AwoX, a leading player in technologies and connected products for the smarthome. As experts in streaming, AwoX brings to Cabasse additional skills to reinforce its position as a leader in high-fidelity audio, but also the knowkedge to become a key player in the hi-fi streaming market.
Based in Brest, Brittany, the Cabasse Acoustic Center is one of the world’s leading loudspeaker development facilities. Here the team of engineers work on the creation of the next generation of loudspeaker systems. They study new materials, the creation of new loudspeakers, the design and realisation of prototypes, they take measurements in the anechoic chamber and the best sound professionals listen and fine tune the designs.
Cabasse specialises in the design and development of co-axial and tri-axial drive units for point-source audio reproduction and produces the worlds only four-way co-axial speaker, La Sphére.
